Why Us
You can’t beat beauty experience
A college that specialises only in beauty therapy and related subjects has thousands of successful graduates passing through the college, some even starting their own salons or becoming industry representatives for various cosmetic companies.
With over 30 years of experience, Illawarra College of Professional Beauty Therapy has successfully stood the test of time to become the largest facilitator in the Illawarra.
The College principal Tracey Rovere has been closely involved in the health and beauty industry for many years, including being a past committee member on the Australian Professional Association of Aestheticians.
“We endeavour to impart enough knowledge for students to do well in their future,” Tracey said “Being one of the longest running private training colleges in the Illawarra region, we know the ins and outs of the beauty industry, successfully training many make-up artists, nail technicians and beauty therapists.”
The Illawarra College of Professional Beauty Therapy, established in 1981, is VETB-registered and both Austudy and Centrelink approved. The College offers a wide range of courses, from statement of attainment and short courses through to Diploma of Beauty Therapy.
All of the College’s trainers have many years of experience within the beauty industry and most own their own salons. The College facilities are modern and up-to-date while an onsite fully functioning day spa utilises the latest equipment available.
“The beauty industry has been growing steadily over the last three decades, with numerous opportunities available for those who want to find work,” Tracey said.
“The many courses we offer are perfect for either Year 10 and Year 12 graduates or those people looking for a career change or looking to improve their beauty skills.
“We know that people have very busy lives and other commitments, which is why we offer a huge variety of courses both during the day and evening, as well as full-time, part-time and short courses.
“Day spas are an increasingly popular area of the health and beauty industry, which is why we offer courses in spa therapy, as well as spray-tanning, hot stone therapy and Indian head massage to name but a few.”
The College is conveniently located in the centre of Wollongong at 3 Crown Lane. The enrolments for this year’s courses are still possible.
