Training with the Illawarra College of Professional Beauty Therapy
The Illawarra College of Professional Beauty Therapy is the leading training provider in the Illawarra and the South Coast region in Beauty Therapy. As a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) we offer a range of nationally accredited, full certificate courses and a range of short specialised courses consisting of units from the National Beauty Therapy Training Package. These lead to Statements of Attainment in such areas as Provide Manicare & Pedicare and Provide Temporary Epilation and Bleaching Treatments.
In choosing a training provider, it is vital to ensure the provider is both registered with the state training authority and is teaching from the latest National Beauty Training Package. The Illawarra College of Professional Beauty Therapy is Austudy approved and trains in line with the requirements of the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF) Standards which are nationally recognised as the platform by which all registered training organisations operate in Australia.
All students attending the College receive the best industry training from our qualified teaching staff. Our teaching staff is made up of a group of professional trainers who are also owners and operators of Beauty Salons in their own right. Thus our students will be gaining the knowledge and skills directly from those already working within the Beauty Industry.
To support this, the College exclusively utilises products from the L’amour Skin Sense range. This direct partnership between the College and L’amour Skin Sense offers the students the opportunity to work with a range of locally produced products being used in many existing salons around Australia.
Finally to further the student’s learning, they are able to complete the practical components of their training within the College’s own fully functional, commercial salon. This provides the students with access to up to date equipment and products at all times and the opportunity to experience the day to day operation of a functioning salon.
L’amour Day Spa & Wellness Centre was opened in 2005. The day spa is a world of beauty & relaxation and we invite clients to indulge themselves and enjoy the L’amour mind and body experience.
The Diploma students are lucky to be able to attend body treatment practical classes at the Day Spa and learn how to use all the latest spa equipment.
